Small Businesses: Build Your Wealth and Secure Your Health
Join AIDS Project of the Ozarks, Edward Jones Investments, Justine PETERSEN, Modern Woodmen of America, and Small Business Majority for a presentation to help build your wealth and secure your health as a small business.
We know that employees and employers who have access to healthcare, are financially fit and able to save for their futures will be happier and healthier overall, which leads to increased productivity, a better work environment and a stronger bottom line for business owners.
In order to help more small businesses achieve a healthier and more financially fit business, we’re pleased to announce our new health and financial literacy program offering in Missouri. As part of this program, we’re launching a three-part educational series on financial and health literacy for small businesses and their employees. Topics include access to capital, retirement options for small businesses, business and personal financial health, workplace wellness and more.
Access to Capital 101: Funding Options to Start and Grow Your Business (8:30 - 9:30 am)
Join Justine PETERSEN and Small Business Majority for an interactive workshop about responsible lending options for small businesses and how to enhance your financial know-how as a small business owner.
The mission of Justine PETERSEN is to connect institutional resources with the needs of low- and moderate-income families and individuals in order to help them build assets and create enduring change. We champion this mission through financial education, credit building, housing counseling, and small business technical assistance and lending.
Money Now, Money Later: Financing Your Small Business & Building Your Retirement (9:45 am - 10:45 am)
This workshop by Edward Jones Investments and Modern Woodmen of America will cover topics such as the U.S. retirement savings gap and a summary of common retirement paths for entrepreneurs to help you save for your future and secure your finances.
Health and Wellness 101: Understanding How Health and Wellness Can Impact Your Bottom Line (11:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Join Small Business Majority and AIDS Project of the Ozarks for a presentation where we’ll explain what the healthcare law means for small businesses and how to increase your health literacy. Additionally, we'll discuss easy and affordable wellness programs that can benefit the health of your business.
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early in order to find parking and find your way to the event location. There is additional parking in the back of the building accessible a block north of Aldersgate on Sherman Way. We will have breakfast and light refreshments available to participants, provided by our host sponsor.
